Dear Friends and Colleagues

I am indeed delighted that our distinguished friends and colleagues in the surgical field will be together once again in Thailand to reflect and exchange our views and experiences. On behalf of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand , I would like to cordially invite all of you to join the meeting, “The Joint Meeting of the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand (RCST)and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)“ in Pattaya,, Thailand on 27th –30th July 2007. The theme of this meeting has been chosen to reflect our global trend of surgery in the age of globalization and collaboration to achieve a healthier and a better world.

President of the Australasian College of Surgeons, Professor Russel Stitz kindly accepted our invitation to this joint meeting ,and joining hand with him several renowned speakers to share their expertise with us. Our Local Organizing Committee and our RACS counterpart are busy in preparing a first class meeting that fits the goal of our societies and audiences. With leading specialists covering a wide spectrum of the surgical fields, this meeting provides a good opportunity to renew contacts and more importantly, to exchange ideas and information on the latest developments in the entire repertoire of our surgical disciplines. The current pace of new development in surgical sciences and demand of the community at large make it the duty of every surgeon to keep up to date.

I sincerely hope that you will find this meeting to be the unique combination of knowledge, information, stimulation, camaraderie, and last but not least fun which Pattaya with its breathtaking views, delightful food, entertainment and Thai hospitality has to offer.

Come and join us in Pattaya during 27th-30th July 2007.

Sincerely,

Vithya Vathanophas, M.D., F.R.C.S.T.
